Terms & conditions of Raitola Reindeer and husky farm Aurora Oy

Booking and Payment
  • A booking is confirmed once the full amount has been paid via the online store or payment link (card/bank transfer).
  • If payment is not made by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
  • Upon arrival at the accommodation, card details will be checked for any possible additional charges.
  • Additional services during the stay are paid on site by card.

Cancellations and Changes
  • All cancellations and changes must be made in writing by email during our office hours (Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00, GMT+2).
  • They will be handled based on availability, and processing fees may apply.
    Excursions:
  • Cancellation more than 72 hours before the safari: €30 cancellation fee.
  • Less than 72 hours or no-show: 100% charge.


    Accommodation:

  • Christmas season (Dec 1, 2025 – Jan 11, 2026): bookings are binding, no refunds, 100% charge for cancellations and no-shows.
  • Other seasons (Jan 12 – Apr 11, 2026):
    – Cancellation ≥ 60 days before arrival: free of charge
    – Cancellation 31–59 days before arrival: 50% charge
    – Cancellation 31 days or no-show: 100% charge

Refunds are paid to the original payment method. Full refund is paid if Raitola cancels the service. No refunds for unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows.


Safari Participation and Private Bookings
  • All vehicles (reindeer sleds, husky sleds, snowmobiles) carry two adults.
  • If the number of participants is odd, customers may be paired with another person in the same sled or snowmobile.
  • If you wish to have your own sleigh or snowmobile, you can reserve it by paying the price for two adults. To ensure privacy, please mention in the booking details that you have paid for two.

 

Snowmobile Safaris
  • Minimum driver age is 18 years, and a valid B driving license is required (bring the license).
  • Liability max €800 per person/accident.
  • Children aged 4–14 ride in the sled behind the guide children over 140 cm can ride on the snowmobile at adult price (subject to availability).
  • Not suitable for children under 4 years or pregnant women.
  • Alcohol is prohibited (zero tolerance).

Animal Behavior and Safety
  • All animals used in our programs — reindeer and huskies — are trained and accustomed to customer activities. Animal welfare is our top priority and they are cared for professionally and respectfully.
  • Please note:
    – Animal behavior cannot be fully predicted.
    – Guide instructions and safety regulations must be followed throughout the program.

Children
  • Ages 0–3 free of charge, but snowmobile safaris are not suitable for them.
  • Child price applies for ages 4–12 (max height 140 cm).

Accommodation
  • Minimum stay requirements:
    – Dec 1, 2025 – Apr 11, 2026: at least 2 nights
  • Check-in at 16:00, check-out at 12:00.
  • Guests are responsible for any damages to the accommodation or property.
  • Complaints must be reported during the stay.
 
 Other Important Information
  • Travel insurance is recommended for all guests.
  • In force majeure situations, bookings may be canceled and payments refunded, with a possible office fee of up to €250.
  • Raitola reserves the right to modify prices, schedules or the content of the program due to weather, snow conditions or similar reasons.
  • Accommodation may be moved to an equivalent or better property without extra charges if necessary.
  • All guidance and services are provided in English.
